Privacy Policy
I. Overview
Welcome to BluChaCha (hereinafter referred to as “the Application”). This Privacy Policy explains how your information is processed when you use the Application.
The Application is currently an application with Bluetooth Short Range Direct Communication as its core function, mainly used for:
-
Discovering nearby devices and establishing a Short Range Direct connection
-
Text messaging communication in nearby chat rooms
-
Bluetooth voice communication
-
Bluetooth video communication
-
Location sharing
As implemented in the current project, the Application does not use an internet server as its core communication infrastructure. Currently, its core messaging, audio/video, and location sharing capabilities are primarily based on Bluetooth connections between devices.
II. Information We Process
1. Information You Provide Voluntarily
When using this application, you may voluntarily provide the following information:
-
Nickname, Room Name
-
Room Password (if you created or joined a password-protected room)
-
Text Messages You Send
The above information is mainly used for chat room display, member identification, room access control, and message passing.
2. Device Permission Information
Based on the current functional design, this application may request the following system permissions:
-
Bluetooth Permission Used to discover nearby devices, establish Bluetooth connections, send and receive chat room messages, and share audio/video/location at close range.
-
Microphone Permission Used for Bluetooth voice communication.
-
Camera Permission Used for Bluetooth video communication.
-
Location Permission (During Use) Used for location sharing.
3. Location Information
When you actively use the location sharing function, this application will process your current location, direction information, and related map display data to display your location status to other participants in the same session.
Based on the current project capabilities, location sharing is primarily for real-time in-session display, not a continuous background trajectory service for the public.
4. Local Device Information and Temporary Status
To ensure the normal operation of this application, it may process or cache the following information on the local device:
-
Current Bluetooth connection status
-
Current room status
-
Member list
-
Audio/video session status
-
Local interface configuration or temporary settings
This type of information is mainly used for application operation and interface display.
III. How We Use This Information
Our purposes for processing the above information include:
-
Establishing and maintaining Bluetooth connections between nearby devices
-
Helping you create, join, or leave chat rooms
-
Displaying necessary session information to other members in the same session
-
Providing text, voice, video, and location sharing capabilities
-
Ensuring application stability, security, and troubleshooting
-
Complying with legal and regulatory requirements
IV. Network Access and Server Processing
Based on the current implementation of this application:
-
The core functionality of this application primarily relies on Bluetooth short-range direct connection
-
Currently, there is no implementation of uploading chat room messages, Bluetooth audio/video content, or location-sharing content to our own remote server as a core processing flow.
However, please understand:
-
In iOS/Flutter runtime environments, system components, or third-party basic components, non-core business-level system behaviors may occur during debugging, system capability calls, or crash diagnosis scenarios.
-
If future versions introduce account systems, cloud synchronization, remote logs, push services, or other internet services, we will update this privacy policy accordingly.
V. Information Storage and Retention Period
1. Storage Location
Based on the current implementation, information directly relevant to your user experience is primarily stored or processed in:
-
Your local device
-
Between participating devices within the current Bluetooth Direct session
2. Retention Period
We retain relevant information only for the period necessary to implement the functionality of this application.
For example:
-
Chats, rooms, and session states are typically processed during the current session.
-
Local preferences may be retained locally on your device until you uninstall the application or clear the relevant data.
VI. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We will not sell your personal information to third parties.
In the current functional mode, your information may be shared in the following ways:
- Other participants in the same Bluetooth session as you
For example, nicknames, text messages, real-time voice/video, location sharing information
We will only disclose information in accordance with the law in the following circumstances:
-
To comply with applicable laws and regulations, court orders, or requirements of competent authorities
-
To protect the legitimate rights and safety of us, users, or the public
VII. Third-Party Components
This application currently uses some third-party development components or libraries, such as Flutter, SnapKit, RxSwift, Opus, CocoaLumberjack, etc., for UI, audio, logging, or basic development capability support.
These components themselves do not necessarily mean that your information will be uploaded to third-party servers, but different components may participate in the application’s operation in terms of system permission calls, local caching, or system capability access.
If we introduce third-party services that directly process personal information in the future, we will provide further explanation.
VIII. Your Rights
To the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, you generally have the following rights:
-
To understand how we process your information
-
To refuse authorization for camera, microphone, Bluetooth, location, etc.
-
To stop using related functions

Please note that if you refuse to grant certain necessary permissions, related functions may not function properly.
IX. Protection of Minors
If you are a minor, please read and decide whether to use this app with the assistance of your guardian. We recommend that minors use functions requiring camera, microphone, Bluetooth, or location permissions only after obtaining their guardian’s consent.
X. Data Security
Based on the current product design, we will take reasonable measures to protect information security, including but not limited to:
-
Minimizing data processing unrelated to functionality
-
Primarily using local and short-range communication to reduce unnecessary long-distance transmission
-
Controlling the scope of permission requests and using relevant capabilities only when necessary for the function
However, please understand that no technical measure can guarantee absolute security.
